John McCarthy

– Consultant for International Taxation –

John McCarthy joined the firm in 2018 as a Consultant for International Taxation for Corporations., Inpatriates, and Expatriates. John has been working as an accountant for over five years, most recently as a tax manager of a local public accounting firm. He started his career in the tax department of KPMG, LLP.

He is a registered CPA in Illinois and has passed all three levels of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam. He holds an LL.M from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE) in Madrid, Spain; a JD from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and a BBA in Accounting from Emory University in Atlanta GA. He graduated first in the class in the LL.M program and Cum Laude in the JD program. He focuses his tax work on Individual tax planning and compliance.
